Eat Daikon Radishes for added health benefits
Try eating Daikon Radishes for added spice and health benefits. Daikon radish is a spicy root that looks like a large white carrot. In folk medicine it was used to clear mucus from the body. It does contain a chemical called glucosinolates that have been classified as cancer-fighting. Daikon radishes also contain an enzyme that converts glucosimolates into DIM which is a neutralizing estrogenic compound. You can just peel, shred or grate Daikon into sandwiches or use it in stew or slice thin and enjoy with your favorite dip.
